00:00:00 BRIO HAPTICS · FOR LOGITECH MX MASTER 4 · FREE

Feel the snap.

Brio Haptics is a free plugin for Logi Options+. Your MX Master 4 taps when a layer lands on a guide, a clip lands on the playhead or the playhead lands on a keyframe, and again when your renders finish. On a Mac, the Force Touch trackpad taps on the same snaps, with no plugin needed.

FREE One small plugin for Logi Options+ on Mac and Windows, and Brio installs it for you.

00:00:04 WHAT YOU FEEL

A tap when it lands, not while it slides.

Brio taps the moment a snap takes hold. Holding it, sliding along a guide or letting go stays silent, so a quick drag across a grid never turns into a buzz.

Taps when

  • A smart guide appears. A layer, anchor or path point lands on another layer, the grid, a ruler guide, or the comp's edges and centre
  • A clip edge snaps. Trimming or sliding onto the playhead, another clip, a keyframe or the work area
  • The playhead snaps. Shift-scrubbing onto a keyframe or a layer's in or out point
  • A graph handle snaps. Shift-dragging an easing handle level, upright or linear
  • Your renders finish. Once, when the whole render queue is done

Good to know

  • Mac trackpads need no plugin. A Force Touch trackpad taps on snaps by itself
  • One switch. Settings ▸ Appearance ▸ Haptic Feedback turns taps off in Brio
  • Strength lives in Options+. Logi Options+ sets how firm the taps feel

00:00:08 SETUP

  2. Install the pluginIn Brio, open Settings ▸ Appearance ▸ Haptic Feedback and click Install Plugin… Or double-click the downloaded Brio.lplug4.

00:00:12 QUESTIONS

Good questions.

Which mice does it work with?

The Logitech MX Master 4. It's the only Logitech mouse with a haptic motor that plugins can reach.

Mac, Windows, Linux?

The plugin is built for Logi Options+ on Mac and Windows. Logitech doesn't make Options+ for Linux, so the mouse can't tap there.

Why is it a plugin at all?

Logitech routes the MX Master 4's haptics through Logi Options+, and apps reach them with a plugin. Logitech's own Premiere Pro plugin works the same way.

Does it send anything anywhere?

No. Brio and the plugin talk only on your own computer, and all Brio sends is the name of the moment, like "snap".

Do I need to own Brio?

The plugin is free for everyone. It taps for Brio, and Brio is free to try.

00:00:16 OUT POINT

Feel your edits land.

Brio Haptics ships inside Brio. Plug in an MX Master 4, or sit down at a Force Touch trackpad, and your edits start tapping back.
